Care Instructions

Kangaroo leather is a strong and versatile material that can improve with age if properly cared for. To keep your kangaroo leather watch strap in good condition, follow these care tips:

- Protect the strap from water: Water can damage kangaroo leather, causing it to stain, discolor, or deteriorate prematurely. If the strap gets wet, gently brush off the water and allow it to air dry naturally. Avoid using a hair dryer to speed up the drying process. You can also apply a high-quality leather wax, balm, or oil to the strap for added protection and to keep the leather conditioned. However, do not use a leather protector spray on kangaroo leather, as these products are not suitable for vegetable-tanned leathers.

- Keep the strap clean: To clean the strap, remove it from your watch and wipe it down with a soft cloth or a very soft brush. If the strap is suede or nubuck, use a suede brush or eraser to gently remove dirt. If the strap is heavily soiled, you can use a minimal amount of water and gentle soap to clean it. Rub the soap into the leather using tapping movements and light pressure, and avoid aggressively rubbing the leather back and forth. Be sure to let the strap dry completely before applying a leather conditioner or protective coating.

- Condition the strap regularly: To keep the kangaroo leather soft and protected, apply a suitable leather conditioner or protective coating to the strap on a regular basis. Avoid using heavy treatments like mink oil, as these can darken the color of the leather.

- Rotate your straps: To avoid excessive wear and tear, consider rotating your watch straps and giving each one a chance to rest. This can help extend the life of your kangaroo leather strap.
By following these care tips, you can help ensure that your kangaroo leather watch strap stays in good condition for as long as possible.

Care instructions for the nubuck lining:
Nubuck is a type of leather that is soft, durable, and breathable. It is similar to suede, but is more resistant to water and will return to its original color once it dries. To care for your nubuck watch strap liner, follow these tips:

- Cleaning: Nubuck is a low-maintenance leather and can be easily cleaned with a brush or eraser. Use a brush with soft bristles to remove dirt and grime, and an eraser to remove liquid stains. Avoid using water or other cleaning products, as these can damage the leather.

- Conditioning: Nubuck does not require frequent conditioning, but if it becomes stiff, you can apply a small amount of conditioning product to a soft, dry cloth and lightly rub it onto the leather. Avoid using mink oil, as it can darken the leather. Always do a spot test before applying the conditioner to the entire strap.

- Waterproofing: Nubuck is naturally water-resistant, but it is recommended that you apply a waterproof spray to protect it from water damage. Leather protectants usually offer water protection sprays that can be easily applied to the nubuck.
By following these care tips, you can help keep your nubuck watch strap liner in good condition.
